The Pre-University Training Center of the National Research Tomsk State University announces the holding of the IV Olympiad of Russian as a Foreign Language, dedicated to family values and traditions — 'Family is not the main thing. It's everything.'

The main goal of the Olympiad is to preserve, enhance, and develop the interest of foreign citizens in the Russian language and culture.

PARTICIPANTS OF THE OLYMPIAD

The following categories of foreign citizens may participate in the Olympiad:

• students of preparatory faculties/departments of educational institutions of higher education of the Russian Federation;

• students of Russian and foreign universities studying Russian as a foreign language.

CONDITIONS

The Olympiad is conducted in an on-line format using remote educational technologies.

The working language of the Olympiad is Russian.

Participation in the Olympiad is completely free of charge.

Participants are divided into 2 categories according to their proficiency level in Russian as a foreign language:

• foreign students proficient in Russian as a foreign language at the A2+ level;

• foreign students proficient in Russian as a foreign language at the B1+ level.

Applications for participation are accepted from March 30th to April 15th, 2024, inclusive, via the following link:

The first stage takes place from April 22nd to April 24th, 2024. Tasks for the first stage consist of completing online tests on Russian vocabulary and grammar, reading, and listening comprehension. The time limit for completing tasks is specified. 

The second stage takes place from April 25th to April 30th, 2024. The task for the second stage involves recording and voicing a video clip in Russian on a given topic. 

CERTIFICATES AND PRIZES FOR PARTICIPANTS

Following the Olympiad, all participants will receive a participant certificate.

Winners and awardees will receive commemorative prizes and gifts.
