We invite you to develop your own concept of an artificial biological membrane to simulate the penetration of drugs through the BBB. The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a semi-permeable membrane. It separates the brain from the bloodstream, thereby transferring the necessary nutrients to the brain and blocking the transport of other blood substances. 

Most neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases need to be treated with drugs that can penetrate the brain bypassing the BBB. To improve the efficiency of drug development, large-scale studies of model test systems simulating semipermeable biomembranes are being carried out.

Our experts will provide mentorship and assistance. Experts working in this field will evaluate the work and give suggestions for its improvement. At the end of the program, participants will be awarded certificates of participation in a scientific project.
