Books, reading, and more: over 20 publishers and 60 events at TOM festival

Tomsk State University and the Siberian branch of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (PSMFA) will be running the book and art festival TOM. Supported by the FESCO transportation company, over 20 publishing companies will bring their books to the book fair in the TSU University Grove to present fiction and non-fiction, children's books and guidebooks. Among the publishing companies are the museums, the Tretyakov Gallery and PSFMA itself.

The museums will bring rare, stunningly beautiful art books, most of which you’ll never find in bookshops. Last year 80% was sold out on the first day of the festival and over 80,000 books were sold at the three-day fair. This year, more publishers are coming. There will also be a presentation pavilion, where the visitors can learn more about a book from its author or the publisher, – says Natalia Pochtareva, head of the Siberian PSFMA.

TOM is dedicated to TSU’s 145th anniversary and 10th anniversary of the PSFMA’s Siberian branch of PSFMA.
