A delegation from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus recently visited Tomsk State University (TSU) to learn about the university's educational and research opportunities. During their visit, the delegation was introduced to various projects and programs at TSU, including those offered by the technical and natural science faculties, as well as the Faculty of Chemistry and the Engineering Chemical Technology Center.
Representatives from TSU's natural science and technical faculties were also present at the meeting to discuss further opportunities for collaboration. Mikhail Golovatov, Head of the Division of Innovation Management in Science and Technology, provided an overview of the university's history, research capabilities, and the work of the University of Tomsk.
Yulia Ryzhikh, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering, presented on pilot educational programs and current research projects in partnership with industrial partners. Danil Vorobyev, Director of the Biological Institute, shared information about TSU's research in biology and ecology. Alexander Zamyatin, Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, introduced the delegation to IT projects developed by employees and students of the institute
The delegation also had the opportunity to speak directly with TSU scientists and ask questions about their developments. For example, Ilya Zhukov, Head of the Laboratory of Metallurgy Nanotechnologies at TSU's Faculty of Faculty of Physics and Engineering, discussed projects in materials science. The parties agreed to continue their collaboration in research.
