Experts from Russia and China will evaluate the educational program of the Higher School of Journalism –Journalism and the New Media. This is the first Russian educational program for journalists to be accredited by international experts. The commission is headed by Liu Chan, from China.
- Today China is one of the leading countries in media education, and at the same time it is a huge market for applicants, many of whom are interested in Russia. Chinese accreditation will be additional evidence that there are people in Russia who can offer a suitable education in journalism, - explained Ilya Myasnikov, dean of the Faculty of Journalism at TSU.
For three days, experts from the National Center for Professional and Public Accreditation (Russia) will work at TSU with specialists from the Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education, P. R. China. The chairman of the commission is Professor Liu Chan, Director of the European Center for Media Studies, Advisor for International Relations at the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China.
International experts will evaluate the quality of the Journalism and New Media program, in which students study the theory of journalism, the psychological and legal foundations of media activities, and editorial management. They learn to search, analyze, and visualize information and master digital skills. The program's partner is the TASS news agency, whose journalists conduct seminars and master classes for TSU students.

Experts from Russia and China will meet with teachers, students, graduates, and practicing journalists; will hold an informational seminar on the export of education; and will visit a television studio, a photo lab, and the printing house of the Higher School of Journalism.
Currently, five TSU educational programs are internationally accredited: International Relations, Finance and Credit, Psychology, Philosophy, and Management. The development of an external independent assessment system is aimed at improving the quality of education and competitiveness of TSU educational programs, taking into account the interests and needs of students and employers. Obtaining a quality mark from leading accreditation agencies guarantees recognition of the quality of education worldwide.
