Tomsk State University has approved increased scholarships for talented 2026 first-year students. Winners and awardees of the final stages of the Olympiads of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 100-point students and graduates with high USE scores will receive, taking into account the regional coefficient, from 7,000 to 20,000 rubles per month in the first semester. Scholarships are awarded from the beginning of the academic year until the end of the first exam session.
The university annually supports talented applicants who demonstrate high results in studies, olympiads and intellectual competitions. Increased first-semester scholarships help freshmen adapt more quickly, stay motivated and focus on development in science, project activities and the profession.
β Olympiad winners are students who are not afraid of difficult tasks, know how to think outside the box and strive for new knowledge. TSU highly appreciates such qualities, so the university provides all-round support to Olympiad winners: it helps to realize their potential, provides additional educational opportunities and creates an environment in which talent can turn into serious achievements in science, profession and social activities, β comments Ivan Druzhinin, head of the TSU New Recruitment Office.
Who will receive the maximum scholarship
The following first-year students enrolled in bachelor and basic higher education programs will receive a scholarship of almost 20,000 rubles a month:
β’ winners and prize-winners of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren, who, according to the orders of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, entered without entrance examinations;
β’ winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, who entered without entrance tests;
β’ graduates of educational institutions who scored 100 points in three USE subjects;
β’ foreign citizens β winners and prize-winners of the Olympiads, enrolled under the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation.
A scholarship of 10,000 rubles per month is intended for:
β’ winners and prize-winners of Olympiads who scored 100 points in a specialized subject;
β’ graduates who scored 100 points in one or two USE subjects.
A scholarship of 7,000 rubles per month is assigned to school graduates:
β’ who scored from 260 points in three USE subjects (for most areas);
β’ who scored from 170 points in two USE subjects for areas in the field of physical training, arts, culture;
β’ who scored from 170 points in two USE subjects for areas with creative exams, for example, journalism and pedagogical education.
Separate increased scholarships are provided for first-year master students / and students of specialized higher education programs:
β’ medal winners and winners of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad βI am a professionalβ will receive 10,000 rubles a month in the first semester;
β’ winners of the final stage of the βI am a professionalβ will get 6,000 rubles per month.
In addition to increased scholarships, talented students may receive faculty scholarships, support from the TSU Endowment Fund, as well as all-Russian, regional and city scholarships. More information on this matter at the Youth Center of the Research Division.
By the end of June 2026, almost 50 Olympiad winners had applied to TSU, and in general β about 3,000 people. We shall remind that according to the results of the 2025admission campaign, 160 winners of the Olympiads were enrolled in TSU.
