1. Opportunities and facilities provided by the University
a. The winners of the “Open Doors” international olympiad will receive bonuses of a budget place, scholarship of up to 10,000 rubles for 1 semester, and compensation for accommodation in a hostel for 1 semester.
(In comparison: scholarship for applicants under the regular quota is about 3,500 - 4,500 rubles. The cost of the living in dormitories for 1 semester is 4,500 rubles.)
b. The prize-winners of the of the “Open Doors” olympiad will receive a 40% discount on the main educational master's program.
c. There are no bonuses for applicants to the Faculty of Pre-university Training.
2. Living conditions for international students
There are several student accommodation options available:
a. Accommodation in the "Sail" (Parus) hostel. The accommodation in a room is for 3 or 4 people, with a bathroom in the room. The hostel has a study room, free gym, and laundry facilities. The cost is about 1,000 rubles per month.
b. Accommodation in superior rooms. Single or double accommodation, Wi-Fi, laundry, bed linen, and housekeeping once a day are included. The kitchen is one for all residents. The price for a single room is 1,000 rubles per day, for a double room 600 rubles per day.
c. Accommodation in a new hostel. The information will be available at the beginning of the new school year.
3. Employment Opportunities
a. The university provides part-time job opportunities for international students. Two of last year's winners of the Association of Global Universities International Olympiad, Raut Amol and Igor Wernek Arantes, became assistant teachers at TSU programs.
b. Language schools in Tomsk employ international students parttime to teach a foreign language.
