March 1, at 12.00 TSU invites Tomsk residents and visitors to the University Maslenitsa at the stadium on the Str. Arkady Ivanova, 22. Guests will be able to measure strength and dexterity with each other, take part in the storming of the snow fortress, sample pancakes, and see the largest Maslenitsa scarecrow in Tomsk.

There will be several venues at the university stadium:

“Maslenitsa”

Dances, round dance, kissing games, and the largest Maslenitsa scarecrow in the city are for all Tomsk residents and guests.

- The Maslenitsa scarecrow will be 5 meters high, and 50 m of wire, 100 kg of straw, and 20 sq. m of calico will be used to create it, - said Anton Pshelensky, a staff member of the TSU Social and Youth Policy Department. - Members of our management and the art project Vasiliev Evening will make the scarecrow.

“Children's Maslenitsa”

Tubing, snow darts, storming a snow fortress, round dance, contests of songs, ditties, riddles, and poems will await the smallest.

“Sports Maslenitsa”

Students will take part in tug-of-war, ski relay races, a pillow fight, throwing boots, and other traditional folk fun.
