Tomsk State University allocated over 50 million rubles for the repair and equipment of new chemical spaces: lecture halls, Young Chemist room, teaching and common spaces. Now students who decided to connect their lives with chemistry study in state-of-the-art laboratories and relax in very comfortable spaces.
Currently, 514 students study at the TSU Faculty of Chemistry, and in total there are more than 5,000 graduates in the history of the faculty. In the new academic year, the faculty plans to accept almost 300 more people who will continue to work at the country’s leading industrial enterprises in the chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical and other industries.
The Faculty of Chemistry is the oldest specialized chemical education in Siberia. Today, the faculty has more than a hundred industrial partners who invest in the development of chemical education. Students pass their practical training at the enterprises of Rusal, GRK Bystrinskoye, PSK Pharma, Uralprotect, GK Titan, NefteChimService, Institute of Plastics named after Petrov, Farmasintez, Achinsk Refinery VNK, Research complex of the technological support center.
Besides, Tomsk State University acts as the operator of a federal project – the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Qualified Personnel in New Materials and Chemistry.
