Tomsk State University invites employees, students and citizens for winter farewell and celebration of Maslenitsa. The celebration will last two days – on the territory of the kindergarten No. 49 and at the TSU stadium.

February 21 at 12:00: traditional festivities for children and their parents “Children’s Miracle Maslenitsa” will be held on the territory of the kindergarten No. 49 (Ulitsa Nakhimova, 15/4).

The celebration will include sports, tug of war, jumping in pairs, relay on buns, snow darts, pillow fighting, jumping in bags, round dance and traditional fun games – contests of songs, four-line racy folk rhymes, riddles and poems; storming the snow fortress and burning the jack-straw.

February 22: University Maslenitsa will be held at the TSU stadium (Ulitsa Arkadiya Ivanova, 20, bld. 1).

11:30 – sports events “Winter Fun”:

• relay races – on sleds, skis and buns, with tunnels and bags, “snake”, felt boot throwing, etc.;

• tackling big balls and hoops;

• tug-of-war University Cup;

• personal championship in kettlebell lifting;

• air rifle shooting.

12:30 – folk games and fun, performance of national teams in cheer sports and aerobics, general round dance.

Volunteers will treat guests of the holiday with tea, pancakes and other goodies.
