Students from Belarus learn about TSU educational opportunities

Students from the Belarusian National Technical University visited Tomsk State University as part of the science student tourism program "Tomsk: The Heart of Siberia." During their three-day stay, they will have the opportunity to explore the campus, learn about the history and opportunities of TSU, and visit popular sights in Tomsk.

This year, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia held a competition for popular science tourism programs in both Russia and Belarus. There were 32 applications and 14 were selected by experts, including the "Tomsk: The Heart of Siberia" program developed by the TSU International Division.

Students from the Belarusian National Technical University are studying a variety of specialties, including electrical and heating and gas supply, mining, IT, economics, and management. The introduction to the university for our foreign guests began with a presentation by Artyom Rykun, TSU's Vice-Rector for International Affairs.

“The program we are implementing today offers a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and impressions. During your visit, you will have the chance to explore the only city in Russia that holds the title of “college town”, and discover the research potential of our university. Perhaps, this experience will inspire you to consider enrolling in one of our master's programs. I hope you will leave with unforgettable memories and I look forward to welcoming you as students at Tomsk State University,” said Artyom Rykun.
