On September 15, during the 11th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, OOO Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk and the Tomsk Consortium of Universities and Scientific Organizations signed a memorandum of cooperation.
"The Big University of Tomsk implements large-scale projects and has major partners in the industrial sector, creating a unified platform to interact with research and educational organizations of the region. Of course, we have something to offer Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk both in the human resources department and in the sphere of research and innovations," said the chairman of the Consortium, TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinskiy.
The memorandum will enable joint projects in personnel training and increasing staff qualifications, as well as involving students and recent graduates in research and innovation.
In addition, General Director of OOO Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk Vladislav Borodin, Acting Governor of the Tomsk Oblast Vladimir Mazur, and Eduard Galazhinskiy presented to the management of Gazprom PJSC a mock-up of a student campus: an intercollegiate campus with dormitories, academic and laboratory buildings, and sports facilities, which is the main Big University infrastructure project.
"It is important for our company to cooperate with the scientific and educational community and participate in major projects that are being implemented in the company's activity area," said Vladislav Borodin. "The cluster will become a major driving force for conducting research and innovative activities."
Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk also signed an agreement with the administration of Tomsk Oblast aimed at giving the region’s economy a boost and improving its investment climate. Participants may express their interest in developing partnerships, and to do so, they create organizational, economic, legal, and other necessary conditions.
