The representatives of the Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan) – Tulkin Khudaykulov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Khurshidzhon Kakhramonov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs – visited Tomsk State University. They discussed educational programs with TSU representatives and signed an agreement on cooperation in the fields of science, education and staff training.
TSU is actively developing international academic relations, including in the fields of joint scientific and practical conferences with foreign universities. Now about 300 students fr om Uzbekistan study at Tomsk State University, and the university is engaged in joint research work with scientists from this country.
Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute is a key specialized pedagogical institute in Kashkadarya region, one of the most numerous in terms of population in Uzbekistan.
The agreement on cooperation between Tomsk State University and Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute covers the joint training of staff and master students, academic exchange, joint research and events, as well as other forms of interaction. TSU is an expert in the field of education – it is one of the first participants in the pilot project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to transform the higher education system in Russia.
— I am grateful for the opportunity to visit Tomsk State University. TSU has extensive experience in organizing the education, so we are very pleased with our cooperation. It would be great to launch joint network programs, for example, an online master’s program. Now our university has 17 bachelor and 11 master courses. We hope that with your support we will be able to expand the number of programs and create joint educational centers, – said Khurshidzhon Kakhramonov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs of Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute.
TSU First Vice-Rector Victor Dyomin presented technological and humanitarian programs. Besides, he spoke about the history of TSU, its ecosystem, competitiveness and ambitions of Tomsk scientists.
Dean of the Faculty of Philology Inna Tubalova, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Leonid Genze and Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Aeromechanics of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering Elizaveta Pikushchak made reports and discussed further collaboration in the areas of mutual interest.
After the meeting, the delegation had meetings with the director of the TSU Institute of Education Elena Sukhanova and the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Olga Nagel, wh ere they presented the best educational practices and joint projects of TSU.
