A delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Moscow and representatives from the University of Pattimura visited Tomsk State University. During the visit, the delegations learned about the opportunities at Tomsk University, visited the laboratories of ArtLife (a partner of TSU), and met with TSU students from Indonesia. As part of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TSU and University of Pattimura.

The visit began with a meeting between Artyom Rykun, TSU Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and the university's academic staff. The participants discussed potential forms of educational cooperation, joint student training programs, internships, and faculty exchanges. Artyom Rykun also shared the history and research potential of the university. Victor Dyomin, TSU First Vice-Rector, presented the university's achievements in marine technology development.

Igor Pamirsky, Director of Research and Production Center of Advanced Engineering School "Agrobiotek", spoke about research and capabilities at "Agrobiotek". Andrey Babenko, Head of Agricultural Biology Department, presented the results of biodiversity research. Yulia Frank, Head of Center for Microplastics in the Environment, discussed the center's work. Svetlana Ermolenko, Associate Professor at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of Faculty of Philology, presented the available educational programs for “Russian as a Foreign Language”.

The meeting concluded with a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding, signed by Artyom Rykun and Novianty Christiana Tuhumury, Chairman of the Department of Aquatic Resource Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at University of Pattimura. This memorandum marks the beginning of educational cooperation between TSU and University of Pattimura.

The delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Moscow also visited TSU and held a meeting with TSU students from Indonesia. They also met with representatives from the University of Tomsk and Ludmila Ogorodova, Tomsk Region Deputy Governor for Scientific and Educational Activity, to discuss educational and research cooperation.

The visit concluded with the delegations attending the concert “Symphony of Indonesia: a nation made of diversity”, organized by TSU students from Indonesia.
