The Faculty of Chemistry of Tomsk State University continues to repair its premises and spaces. This year, until October 30, all repair works will be completed on the third floor and staircases of the sixth building. Almost 35 million rubles were allocated for these purposes, including 23.2 million rubles under the Priority 2030 program.
The transformation of the faculty began earlier: a modern analytical center appeared at the Faculty of Chemistry and a comfortable buffet built at the expense of the faculty’s strategic partner – the Engineering Chemical Technology Center. The dean’s office was updated, sofa areas were created for students. Modern comfortable spaces appeared in the study building, including for teachers in non-core subjects, graffiti zones and a stand telling about the history of chemical education at TSU. Last year, the classrooms at the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry of the SB RAS in Tomsk Akademgorodok and the analytical laboratory of the Chemical Faculty were repaired.
In 2025, 22.3 million rubles were allocated from the funds of the Priority 2030 program for the repair of the first and second floors of the study building.
With the support of the faculty’s partner, GazpromNeft, a lecture room with 120 seats and the premises of the Young Chemist school have already been repaired. Now the partner supported the repair and equipment of room No. 406, which houses an updated modern chemical technology laboratory. 25.1 million rubles were allocated for the work and equipment of classrooms.
The works do not stop on the eve of the 95th anniversary, which the Faculty of Chemistry will celebrate in 2027. The repair of laboratories No. 211 and No. 324 is being designed, and a modern chromatographic class is planned to be equipped in laboratory No. 319.
Besides, the basement will also be renovated. On a previously unclaimed area of about 700 square meters, all structures will be dismantled, a new ventilation system will be designed and other repair works will be performed. The finishing stage will be completed next year.
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry Alexey Knyazev stressed that the faculty is open for cooperation and invites new partners to participate in equipment and external transformation:
