TSU staff to showcase Tomsk State University to affiliates in Vietnam

On November 21, the Russian House in Hanoi launched the educational fair Russian Institutions of Higher Education that encompassed the entire country, where Tomsk State University was represented by Artyom Rykun, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs.

Being one of the leading educational institutions in Russia classified as a national research university, Tomsk State University, the first Russian university in Siberia and the Russian Far East, was showcased in Ho Chi Minh City. Artyom Rykun met with the administration, teaching staff, and students of Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University; with the former, TSU Vice-Rector discussed opportunities for creating a TSU-supported testing center for Russian as a foreign language on the premises of Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University. Additionally, Prof. Rykun introduced TSU educational programs to the attendees of the educational fair. As stated by Artyom Rykun himself, it is of vital importance for TSU to form connections with major Vietnamese institutions of higher and secondary education: being the university that holds leading positions in world science, TSU is looking for students capable of meeting its highest demands.

On the Vietnamese side, the event was attended by: Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Phan Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Dean of the Faculty of Russian Language Nguyen Thi Hang and Director of Library Le Van Hieu.

Apart from TSU, the educational fair in Vietnam was also represented by other Russian universities: the list includes National Research University of Electronic Technology, Siberian State Industrial University, Saint Petersburg Mining University, Sergo Ordzhonikidze Russian State University for Geological Prospecting, and Southern Federal University.
