12 research projects of scientists from Tomsk State University will receive grant support from the Russian Science Foundation. The Russian Science Foundation allocates 11 grants to TSU scientists for fundamental research and exploration works by small research groups and one grant for oriented and applied research within the national project “New Materials and Chemistry”.

The teams of Tomsk State University, Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry and Bauman Moscow State Technical University were the winners of the competition within the national project “New Materials and Chemistry”.

TSU will receive a grant for the project “Development of raw materials and technology for photopolymer 3D printing of multilayer ceramic-metal structures for microelectronics” supervised by Ilya Zhukov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Nanotechnology of Metallurgy, TSU Faculty of Physics and Engineering.

– The project is aimed at developing technology and creating a device for printing ceramic-metal housings of integrated circuits. The customer was the Semiconductor Devices Plant. It already produces such products, but 3D printing will speed up the production cycle, will help increase the complexity of the shapes of the products, –comments Dmitry Tkachev, researcher at the Laboratory of Nanotechnology of Metallurgy at the TSU Faculty of Physics and Engineering. – Only domestic materials will be used in production. Under the terms of the grant, the plant will provide co-financing – at least 30% of the total grant.

The grant of the Russian Science Foundation for this competition amounts up to 30 million rubles annually.

The Russian Science Foundation received about 5 thousand applications for the competition of projects of fundamental research and exploration works by small research groups, 1,154 projects received grant support. The size of one grant is up to 1.5 million rubles annually.
